On Saturday, July 18, from approximately 4PM to 5PM GMT (9AM to 10AM PST), Ashby will be in read-only mode (except for job applications, which can still be submitted). During this time, we will be changing our database infrastructure. Details below.
*How will this impact my Ashby access?* You can log in and view all information in Ashby, but cannot modify or delete it. We’ve disabled the interface for common functionality that modifies or deletes data. In some cases, the interface may not be disabled but will error (safely) when clicked.
ATS sync will be paused during this time, and we anticipate that ATS data will be up to date within 2 hours after the infrastructure change is complete.
*How will this impact job applicants?* Hosted job boards, Ashby Job Board API, and submitting applications via the Ashby Customer API will continue to function. Applications submitted during maintenance will not be viewable in Ashby until after it is complete.
*How will this impact candidates who are interviewing?* Candidates will not be able to use direct scheduling, availability links, and candidate experience surveys, and will be presented with a message to try again later. Calendar events and conference meeting links will not be impacted, but feedback cannot be submitted until the transition is complete.
*How will this impact live integrations?* During this time, any API calls that modify Ashby data will fail with 500 errors.
*How will this impact Ashby’s People Workflows add-on?* You can view employees, workflows, and tasks, but cannot modify them, so completing tasks and advancing workflow steps will be disabled. Workflow automation is also paused: in-flight workflows will not advance, scheduled steps and reminders will not fire, and automated actions will not run. Automation will resume and process any steps that were due once maintenance is complete. The new-employee portal will also be read-only, allowing users to view tasks but not complete tasks or complete their profile.
*How will I know when read-only mode begins and ends?* We will provide in-app messaging, post updates to status.ashbyhq.com, and email updates throughout the transition. You can subscribe to email updates at status.ashbyhq.com.
